Capability 01 of 03: Websites and web platforms

Plate 01

Websites that say one thing

Every page has one job: it loads in a blink, says one thing, and asks once. The sites behind GreekStack, Bar Crawl Golf, and My Daily Tool are built this way, and so are this site, Mac Madden's, and bensachwitz.com.
The Mac Madden home page at desktop width: a dark monogram hero with his name, title, and a Book an appointment button, then the Pieces he knows by heart showcase.

How it is built

One page, one job.

The four choices behind every site here, each one visible on a live page.

  1. 1

    Next.js and Tailwind

Built for speed from the first commit and deployed on Vercel.

  2. 2

    Privacy-first by default

This site and Mac Madden's load no analytics or third-party tracker scripts. The GreekStack and Bar Crawl Golf web apps send error reports to Sentry.

  3. 3

Each site gets its own voice

Mac Madden is quiet luxury set in hairlines. bensachwitz.com is a serif-led personal record. This site is a printed proof sheet.

  4. 4

Performance and accessibility checked before release

Fast on a phone and fast on a laptop, with an accessibility statement that says what was tested.

The toolbox

Built with Next.js, React and Vercel.

The tools behind the sites here, as shipped.

  1. Next.js
  2. React
  3. TypeScript
  4. Tailwind CSS
  5. GSAP
  6. Vercel

Questions about the work?

Ask about a build, a decision or a number on any page, or just talk shop. A real person reads every message.
